CentricAir systems use a German engineered fan motor that uses 1/3 less energy while providing 30% more power than other industry standard fans. These energy efficient fans are rated for 40,000-hours of operation and include a 15-year fan motor guarantee. Provided with the system is an R-10 power actuated cold weather damper, sound absorbing acoustical ductwork, custom high airflow grill, 2 speed remote control with timer and all necessary hardware. The 2.7 is designed to cool 2-story homes up to 2400 sq. ft. and 1-story homes up to 1500 sq. ft. CentricAir recommends that clients consider purchasing the largest whole house fan that their home has the attic ventilation for. Its very likely for example that a 2200 sq. ft. home will have sufficient attic ventilation for our CentricAir 2.7 model which requires about 3.25 sq. ft. of net free attic ventilation. However, if this same size home has enough attic ventilation for our CentricAir 3.4 system which is designed for homes with 4.0 sq. ft. of net free attic ventilation, this may be worth considering since its only slightly more expensive and will cool your home even faster. We do not, however, recommend adding additional roof ventilation just to go with a large whole house fan.
CentricAir 2.7A is designed to cool 1-story homes up to 1350 sq. ft. and 2-story homes up to 1800 sq. ft.
